Teachers in Focus

No truth in advertising here. When teachers see a title like "Tragedy in the Graveyard," they might imagine a gruesome "Nightmare on Elm Street," but this video is closer to a blend of "Truth or Consequences" and vintage Groucho Marx "You Bet Your Life."

Working off the murder witnessed by Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, a modern high school girl goes back in literary time to learn a humorous lesson on narrative writing.

But a second thread runs through the video as Angie struggles with honesty and integrity in her own studies. Just as Twain caused his readers to realize tough truths while laughing their heads off, the producers help viewers to hear the message loud and clear. The only tragedy in this graveyard is if the students don't respond to the honesty theme.
